Room for 3 to Panorama from Calgary

I will be driving through Calgary around 1 or 2pm on Wednesday November 21st and could give up to 3 people and their gear a ride to Panorama. I may have to make a brief stop in Banff to see my daughter.

I will be flying in on Tuesday from New Brunswick to volunteer at Panorama World Cup. However, I still need a ride from Calgary Airport to the hill on Tuesday, November 20th. My plane lands around noon. For me, getting from the airport to the hill is difficult so if you can help me out on this one it would be great. It is getting close to the date of arrival so please email me if you think you can do me this favor. I can fill you in on ski racing in the Maritimes as we drive and you can tell me about the west!

I am looking for a ride to Panorama from Edmonton (or even from Calgary) on November 20. I am very flexible in that if you have a ride for the 21st I will take it. I could bus to Calgary and catch a ride with you there.

Worst case scenario, is there anyone who can drive from the bus stop in Invermere to Panorama?

Transportation needed - DATE AMENDEMENT

Hello everyone,

We're flying in to Calgary on November 10th in the afternoon. We're
looking for a ride to Invermere. The problem is that we have 4 pairs
of ski and two big bags since we're moving from Poland to Panorama for
about half a year:) However, if luckily anyone's driving a spacious
car on this day or a day later, we'll be grateful for your help.
Maybe anyone could give us any wise tips about means of transport, as
it is our first time in Canada and we don't know what to expect. We'll
appreciate any piece of advice.

I have one spot avail for someone to get a lift to & from Edmonton. I will be leaving Nov 17 and either going straight through to Panorama that day or possibly staying over one night in Canmore????

Invermere/Windermere to the hill

I live in Windermere, so I won't be able to do any car pooling from the airport.But if anyone needs a ride from here or from Invermere to the hill, could certainly accommodate them.I have room for at least 4 people on Nov 17/18 and Nov 24/25 (I think those are the weekend dates that I will be helping out on the course). Rides, Rides, Rides....

I've been trying to figure out what way is the easiest to keep all the ride needs in the same place... it seems that making a comment on the October 18th post of "Need a Ride?" is where people have been gravitating to. So please place your comment for ride needs there. Glad to see that so many people have used it already.

Now to the locals that are going to be volunteering, or just out enjoying the race... all these volunteers are going to start thinking we're kinda stuck-up (ha, ha) if no one offers a ride... please, please, please start offering that extra seat or two.

If we can't coordinate some ride catching, I'll try to get people in touch with others who are arriving and departing on similar days. Hopefully between yourselves you can get a few together and (worst case scenario) share the expense of renting a van or such. Budget has given a deal the code is on the race notice which I've linked on the right hand side of this blog.

I would like to thank each of you for your commitment and support to Ski Racing in Canada.
It is with the help from all the folks.... just like you, that we can offer the Canadian Athletes World Class Race Courses at home!! I know we are all looking forward to seeing our Women and Men stand on the top of the podium and knowing each one of you played a part in their success will put smiles on all of their and our faces everyday!!

Need A Ride?

I've been asked to set up a blog to update people on different happenings of the Ladies Technical World Cup at Panorama this November. If there is any information I can add to help or things that you'd like to see feel free to ask!

People are needing rides from airports to the hill, does anyone have time to pick up someone and an extra seat?
